"Bringing Back Water"

An UNCOMMON/WORD poem by Elizabeth C. Herron

Elizabeth Carothers Herron has worked on earth issues since the mid-90’s following a major spill in the Sacramento River. Her published writing includes four chapbooks and a book of short fiction, as well as essays and articles that have appeared in Orion, Parabola, Ions, and the Jung Journal of Culture & Psyche. Various grants and awards have supported her work in rural Sonoma County where she listens to coyotes and owls at night and watches the steelhead salmon life cycle in local creeks by day. Her poetry most recently appeared in the Fall issue of Reflections from Yale Divinity School and the online journal Canary. For more about information about Herron, see her Authors Guild website.
